Alexander Cockburn

Journalist and Author

Alexander Cockburn is one of America's best-known radical journalists.  A former columnist at The Nation and editor of the Times Literary Supplement, Cockburn contributed articles on the press and politics to such publications as The New York Review of Books, Harper's Magazine, The Atlantic Monthly, the Wall Street Journal, and The Village Voice. Cockburn published Corruptions of Empire, a best-selling collection of essays, and was co-editor, with Jeffrey St Clair, of the newsletter and radical website CounterPunch. Cockburn co-authored several books, including The Fate of the Forest: Developers; Destroyers, and Defenders of the Amazon; Washington Babylon; Al Gore, A User's Manual; Five Days That Shook the World; and A Dime's Worth of Difference.
