Dana Fields received her PhD from Princeton and is affiliated with the Department of Classics.  Her research focuses on the literature, culture, and politics of the Greek world under the Roman Empire. Her current projects include books on the idea of free and frank speech in the first few centuries of our era and the articulation of political concepts and roles through images of animals.  In Spring 2013, Dr. Fields will teach a course on the ancient Greek novel for the Classics Department.
