Margaret Graver is Aaron Lawrence Professor in Classics at Dartmouth College. Her area of specialization is in Hellenistic and Roman philosophy, especially the philosophy of mind and emotion. Her book, Stoicism and Emotion (University of Chicago Press, 2007) was selected as an Outstanding Academic Title in Philosophy for 2008 by Choice. She regularly offers courses in ethical thought in antiquity, Plato, Aristotle, Latin literature including Lucretius, Cicero, and Seneca, and on Latin and Greek language.She received her PhD from Brown University and her B.A. summa cum laude at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
