Maynard Solomon
Musicologist and Biographer
Maynard Solomon is the author of two of the most important biographies in modern music scholarship, Beethoven (1977) and Mozart (1995), as well as numerous articles on Schubert. He is noted for his insights into the relationship between a composer's oeuvre and his psychic life. He is also a co-founder of Vanguard Recording Society Inc.
