Michael Gluzman

Michael Gluzman studied comparative literature at UC Berkeley where he received his Ph.D. in 1993. He is currently the head of the Laura Schwartz Kipp Center for Hebrew Literature and Culture at Tel Aviv University. Among his publications are The Politics of Canonicity: Lines of Resistance in Modernist Hebrew Poetry (Stanford 2004) and The Zionist Body: Nationalism, Sexuality and Gender in Modern Hebrew Literature (Hebrew, 2007). His forthcoming book, The Melancholia of Sovereignty has won the 2015 Bahat Prize for outstanding academic manuscripts.
