Nancy Henry

Nancy Henry is a professor in the Department of English at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She received her BA from Stanford University, and her MA and PhD from the University of Chicago. Since 2008, she has held a position in the Department of English as a professor. She has written three books on the life and historical context of George Eliot, the most recent one being The Life of George Eliot. Blackwell Critical Biography Series. She has also contributed essays on Victorian attitudes towards finance, investment, and colonialism to edited works in Victorian studies.
