Nick Jardine is Emeritus Professor at the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge. His research interests include historiography of the sciences; early-modern cosmology; history of natural history; and philosophy of the sciences. His most recent publications are Christoph Rothmann's Treatise on the Comet of 1585: An Edition and Translation with Accompanying Essays, with M.A. Granada and A. Mosley (Leiden: Brill, 2014), Recent Material Heritage of the Sciences, with L.
