Silvio Pons is the author of Stalin and the Inevitable War 1936-41 (Frank Cass, London 2002) and of Berlinguer e la fine del comunismo (Einaudi Editore, Torino, 2006). He is editor of the following volumes: The Cominform: Minutes of the Three Conferences 1947/1948/1949, Fondazione Feltrinelli, Annali, XXX (Milan, 1994); The Soviet Union and Europe in the Cold War, 1943-53 (Macmillan, London 1996); Russia in the Age of Wars 1914-1945 (Feltrinelli, Milan 2000); Reinterpreting the End of the Cold War (Frank Cass, London 2005); Dizionario del comunismo nel XX secolo, 2 vols. (Einaudi Editore, Turin 2006-2007) published in the United States as A Dictionary of 20th-Century Communism (Princeton University Press, 2010). His main research interests are focused on the history of Communism and the Cold War. He is currently writing a book on the history of international Communism in the 20th century.
