Sophia Rosenfeld

Sophia Rosenfeld is Professor of History at the University of Virginia. She is the author of Common Sense: A Political History (Stanford, 2011) and A Revolution in Language: The Problem of Signs in Late Eighteenth-Century France (Harvard, 2001), as well as many articles on the ideas and culture of the Enlightenment and Age of Revolutions in France and across the Atlantic world. She is also an editor of Modern Intellectual History. She is currently writing a history of choice making, to be published by Princeton University Press.
