Stephen Mihm is the author, with Nouriel Roubini, of Crisis Economics: A Crash Course in the Future of Finance (2010) and A Nation of Counterfeiters: Capitalists, Con Men, and the Making of the United States (2007). He is also the co-editor, with Katherine Ott and David Serlin, of Artificial Parts, Practical Lives: Modern Histories of Prosthetics (2002). He received his Ph.D. from New York Univeristy in 2003. He has received the Parks-Heggoy Award, UGA History Department, For excellence in graduate student teaching in 2012 and the Charles A. Ryskamp Research Fellowship, American Council of Learned Societies 2009-2010. His research interests include economic, cultural, and intellectual history of 18th- and 19th-century America.
