Thomas Laqueur

Thomas Laqueur serves at Helen Fawcett Professor at the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on Britain since 1509, particularly the social history of medicine.  He is currently working to complete a manuscript entitled The Work of the Dead.

His publications include Solitary Sex: A Cultural History of Masturbation (2003), and Making Sex: Body and Gender from the Greeks to Freud (1990).
