Yuval Millo

Yuval Millo is Professor of Social Studies of Finance and Management Accounting at the University of Leicester, as of September 2012. Prior to that, he was a lecturer at the London School of Economics from 2007-12, and before that he was a lecturer at the University of Essex from 2005-07. He receieved his PhD in Sociology from the University of Edinburgh in 2003, where he wrote his PhD thesis on the history of the Black-Scholes options pricing model, and its subsequent impact on financial derivatives markets. He has written many articles and contributed as a co-editor to the edited volume Market Devices.

Professor Millo focuses on, and is a leader in the field of, the emerging study of the Social Studies of Finance. His research focuses on the emergence of accounting standards, the transition to electronic financial exchanges, and other studies of the sociology of finance and investment.
